Celle’s Town Park

Short facts

  • Celle
  • Park, Citizens’ park

Its attractive design invites you to stop a while and linger!

At the end of the 1990’s, a new public town park was created on the site of the former Heide Barracks on the edge of the Old Town and just south of the historic French Garden. The 1.9-hectare site is located in the middle of the surrounding residential area and the New Town Hall.

With its attractive layout comprising large fountains, over 70 mature trees, countless shrubs, hedges and flowers, the park is an inviting place to linger throughout the seasons.

Alongside to play equipment such as a slackline and roundabouts, there is also an adult‘s exercise course for fitness enthusiasts. The nearby water meadow is also a place for enjoyment and extensive play. Many seating areas with benches can be found around the edge of the 2,200 m² meadow and plus a chess field.
