Germany v. England – more than just football

A sporty guided tour of the Palace

Our female tour guide, dressed rather tomboyishly in a football outfit, sheds some light on the history of German-British rulers. After kick-off she explains humorously, amongst other things, who really invented football and why Hannover 96 does not play in the Premier League …

This sporty Palace tour will firstly entertain you and secondly inform you about the historical background of the so called Personal Union. In the “Hall of Fame” you will get to know the German-British “team captains” and their royal games, this includes trying on the ducal “football shirt” and admiring the club’s own trophy collection. A visit of the Baroque theatre as well as the Palace kitchen and the Renaissance chapel are also on the programme.
