Celle offers a varied range of museums
In the Residenzmuseum at the Celle Palace the history of the Palace and its former inhabitants, the Guelphs, is displayed in a modern presentation.
Directly opposite the Palace the Bomann Museum presents the local history of eastern Lower Saxony as well as Celle’s urban history and Hanoverian regional history.
As the world’s first 24-hour-art museum, the Kunstmuseum Celle allows day and night encounters with modern and contemporary art from the Robert Simon Collection.
Further museums such as the Haesler Museum, the Garnison-Museum and the Schützenmuseum complete the cultural tour through Celle.
