Straight from the fisherman - committed to tradition!
For seven generations spanning more than 200 years this business has been serving fresh fish to its customers. At the beginning, around 1804, fish was sold by Maria Elisabeth Nölke to the French troups who occupied Celle.
Eel and trout are still smoked the traditional way in an old stone oven by using a special mixture of alder wood and beech wood ensuring a true delicacy.
About 70 years ago a pond system was added to the river fishing business. In these ponds, located in marvellous nature, carp, tench and pike are bred. Many more rare animal and plant species can be found here such as ospreys, white-tailed eagles, cotton grass and sundew.
