Outstanding Bauhaus Architecture

"I received the contract from the Prussian Building Administration for the project planning and construction supervision for a Director's residence in Celle for the nearby State Grammar School"  - so described Otto Haesler the construction contract for the Magnusstraße.

The house was originally designed for the director of the Ernestinum Grammar School in Celle and built in 1930. Over the years it has served as an office building and as an autonomous youth centre. In 2005 the building was completely renovated and returned to its original condition. From 2006 to 2020 a contemporary art gallery occupied various rooms at the Haesler House.

Visits are possible during opening hours. Group visits by prior appointment.

The rooms can be used for lectures, readings, seminars and other cultural events by arrangement.
